Four Hurt, Two Critically, In Middle Township Crash

Four people were injured when their vehicle crashed into a tree in Cape May County, authorities said.

Officers responded to the wreck on Swainton-Goshen Road near Green Holly Campground just before 9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26, the Middle Township police announced on Monday, Jan. 29. The driver was found unconscious and an officer began performing CPR.

The driver was rushed to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division in Atlantic City. Police said the driver suffered a head injury and is listed in critical condition.

The front-seat passenger also suffered a head injury. That person was taken to Cooper Medical Center and is also in critical condition.

Two other passengers were treated at Cape Regional Medical Center in Cape May Court House and they're expected to survive their injuries. The identities of the victims were not released.

Middle Township police are continuing to investigate the crash.
