Five NJ Protestors Among 60 Arrested In I-676 Shutdown In Philadelphia: Police
More than 60 people have been arrested in connection with a protest that completely shutdown I-676 in Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon, March 30, authorities said. The protestors were from the Party for Socialism and Liberation, and ran onto the highway at Broad Street around 4 p.m., causing disruptions to traffic flow, Philadelphia police said at the time. Traffic Signal Down Closing Route 77 In Salem County
A traffic signal is down blocking traffic in both directions on Route 77 in Salem County, authorities said. The mishap occurred about 3:10 p.m. on Thursday, July 6 near Route 611 (Elmer-Shirley Road) in Upper Pittsgrove Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation. A July Fourth climate protest that halted traffic on the Capital Beltway has some activists upset, saying the backup caused even more pollution. NJ Turnpike Blocked By Tractor-Trailer Crash: State Police
The northbound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike were blocked after a tractor-trailer crashed, authorities said. The truck became fully engulfed in flames at about 5:55 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17, State Police said. The crash occurred at milepost 30.6 in Cherry Hill Township. No injuries were reported and the truck was removed shortly after 7 a.m., a State Police spokesman said. The cause and circumstances of the accident remain under investigation.

The Atlantic City Expressway reportedly was shut down in both directions in South Jersey during rush-hour, authorities said. A northbound lane on Interstate 295 was closed Thursday in Camden County, to repair a partically-collapsed retaining wall that is part of a multi-million dollar transportation project, authorities said.
