Pedestrian Struck, Killed On Route 1 In Mercer County There was a pedestrian struck and killed along Route 1 in Lawrence Township, authorities said. The fatal crash occurred at 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14 on the 3300 block of Brunswick Pike (Route 1), police said. The 39-year-old driver from Ewing and passengers were not injured. All lanes of Brunswick Pike (Route 1) southbound were closed during the investigation. Witnesses are asked to call Detective Dean Sawasky at 609-844-7125 or email dsawasky@lawrencetwp.com.

It marked the fourth fatal pedestrian crash in Waterford since Thanksgiving, according to prior news reports. The most recent pedestrian fatality was at about 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26 on Old White Horse Pike, according to New Jersey State Police statistics. Waterford police declined to release any details about Friday's crash. Unidentified Woman Hit, Killed Crossing Bridge Into NJ: Troopers Investigators are still working to name the woman hit and killed on the Trenton Morrisville Toll Bridge Thursday morning, Jan. 11, state police say.  The victim was headed toward New Jersey in the northbound lanes of the bridge and walking along the concrete divider when she was hit by a tractor-trailer around 6:15 a.m., troopers said in a release.   The crash knocked her over the divider into the southbound lanes, where two passing cars both struck her, authorities said. South Jersey Police Arrest Suspected Hit-Run Driver Police in Gloucester Township have arrested a suspected hit-and-run driver, authorities said The fatal crash occurred on Monday, Nov. 7, at approximately 10:28 p.m. in the 800 block of the Black Horse Pike. Police found a pedestrian, Elaine J. Hubler, 58, of Hilltop, laying in the roadway. It was determined she was attempting to cross the roadway when the driver of a dark-colored vehicle struck her.
