Man, 45, Shot Dead In Atlantic County: Prosecutor A 45-year-old man was shot and killed in Pleasantville, authorities said. Mamadou Toure, of Pleasantville, was killed in the shooting, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. On Monday, Oct. 9, 2023, at approximately 8:40 a.m., a shooting occurred at West Pleasant Avenue and Main Street, the prosecutor said. The Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit and the Pleasantville Police Department are cooperatively investigating the shooting. On Thursday, May 19, at 2:47 p.m., Pleasantville Police Sgt. 3 Guns Recovered In South Jersey Three guns were recovered in a city in South Jersey. The discovery of guns followed a  ShotSpotter alert in Pleasantville on Tuesday. Police were called to Main Street and Atlantic Avenue after the 1:24 p.m. alert, and found shell casings, Pleasantville police said.
