An active Air Force member posed as a teenager and paid a 9-year-old New York girl to send him sexually explicit images and solicited nude images from other girls, including one in New Jersey, federal prosecutors alleged.
David Ibarra, 31, of Anchorage, Alaska, was arraigned on child sexual exploitation and related charges in Central Islip federal court on Wednesday, March 26.
An investigation found that Ibarra, an active-duty senior airman in the US Air Force, communicated with a 9-year-old Suffolk County girl while pretending to be a 13-year-old boy, prosecutors said.
