Sprinter Van Strikes Pedestrian, 27, On White Horse Pike: Police A 27-year-old man was hospitalized after being struck by a car on White Horse Pike in Winslow Township Saturday night, April 20, police said. The Hammonton man was struck by a 46-year-old New York City man in a Mercedes Benz sprinter van near Ehrke Road around 9:45 p.m.  The pedestrian was taken to Cooper Hospital for treatment.

Speed Bump Kills North Jersey Sanitation Worker Riding On Truck, Police Say A 74-year-old sanitation worker died after the truck he was riding on hit a speed bump and he fell off earlier this month in Scotch Plains, police announced. Ismael Oliva was riding on the rear platform of the truck when he fell off and hit is head on the 300 block of Henry Street around 9:30 a.m. Sept. 2, local police said. Good Samaritans had rushed outside to help the Plainfield sanitation worker when paramedics arrive. Oliva was rushed to Overlook Medical Center in Summit, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The crash remains under investigation.

Waretown Man, 27, Killed In Stafford Township Crash An Ocean County man was killed Sunday when his Jeep struck two parked vehicles and a tree, authorities said. Thomas Ronacher, 27, of Waretown died after his northbound Jeep Grand Cherokee veered across several lawns on Nautilus Drive and crashed near Quadrant Road, Stafford police said in a statement.  The vehicle wasn't discovered until 6:48 a.m. because it left the roadway in a poorly lit area of the Ocean Acres section of town, they said.
