Fentanyl, Opioids Stolen By Jersey Shore Healthcare Worker: Police
An Ocean County healthcare worker is accused of stealing fentanyl and another opioid from a medical facility, authorities said. Lauren Scholz, 37, of Brick Township, is facing several drug-related charges, Brick Township police announced on Monday, Jan. 29. She works at the Vascular Institute at Atlantic Medical Imaging on Jack Martin Boulevard. Police said they received an anonymous tip about a female healthcare worker stealing narcotics from the hospital on Thursday, Jan. 25.
