Mercer County Man Arrested In Dad’s Fatal Beating: Prosecutor A 23-year-old man from East Windsor has been arrested in the fatal beating of his father, authorities said. Yu Chavarria, 23, was charged with second-degree manslaughter, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri East Windsor police responded to a residence on Twin Rivers Drive North at approximately 7 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 25, for an unconscious male, Onofri said.  Police found 58-year-old Edgar Chavarria on the kitchen floor bleeding from his head and face, Onofri said. Pedestrian Critically Hurt In Mercer County Crash A 37-year-old pedestrian was critically hurt after being struck by a pick-up truck while crossing Route 33 in Mercer County, authorities said. The truck hit the pedestrian around 8:30 p.m. between Twin Rivers Drive North and Probasco Road, East Windsor police said.  Initial reports said the pedestrian was in traumatic arrest.  He was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick in New Brunswick with life-threatening injuries.
