South Jersey Woman, 41, Dies Of Injuries From Route 38 Crash
A 41-year-old woman from South Jersey died of her injuries from a four-vehicle crash last week in Burlington County. Angela Johnson of Sicklerville was driving her Cadillac SUV eastbound on Route 38 near milepost 19 in Southampton at about 4 p.m. on March 12, according to New Jersey State Police. Her SUV struck the side of an eastbound Toyota, State Police said. The SUV then veered into the westbound lane and collided head-on with a Freightliner truck before both the truck and SUV hit a Nissan, police said. A longtime South Jersey racetrack announcer known for his playful, entertaining flair died after a 13-year battle with brain cancer, officials said. Larry Lederman died at 67 years old on Tuesday, Mar. 5, the U.S. Trotting Association (USTA) announced in a news release. An independent study released this week calculates that Rowan University's annual economic impact is $2.9 billion statewide, up nearly double from less than five years ago, campus officials said. Police are investigating a triple shooting in South Jersey. Three people were shot in a home on Buttercup Lane in Willingboro Saturday, Feb. 24 at 8:15 p.m., Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Driver Crashes, Dies Fleeing Traffic Stop In South Jersey: Attorney General
A fatal crash that happened just after a South Jersey officer tried stopping the vehicle is being investigated by state authorities, they said. The on-duty Monroe Township (Gloucester County) police officer was trying to stop the car on County Road 723 just before 4 a.m. Monday, Feb. 19, the New Jersey State Attorney General's Office said.
