Home Health Aide Who Forced Stuffed Animal Into Disabled Patient's Mouth Sentenced To Prison A 36-year-old home health aide convicted of physically abusing a severely disabled girl was sentenced to 23 years in New Jersey State Prison, authorities said. Edmondo DiPaolo pleaded guilty earlier this year to aggravated assault and child endangerment, according to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw. He worked as the 16-year-old girl's caregiver in the family’s Southampton home, she said. The investigation revealed that DiPaolo broke the victim’s femur while changing her diaper in March 2020. Ex-Home Health Aide Admits Forcing Stuffed Animal Into Disabled Patient's Mouth: Prosecutor A 36-year-old man has admitted to physically abusing a severely developmentally-impaired girl while working as her caregiver in the family’s Southampton home, authorities said. The abuse included forcing water and a stuffed animal into the girl's mouth, they said.  Edmondo DiPaolo, of Pemberton Township, admitted guilt in exchange for a 23-year sentence in New Jersey state prison, according to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. 'History Of Ongoing Abuse': Garfield Man Charged With Severely Shaking 3-Month-Old Baby A warehouse worker living in Garfield was jailed after physicians found that a hospitalized 3-month-old child had suffered a history of ongoing physical abuse. ICE issued a detainer on Dominican-born Nelson Ventura Delacruz, 31, who remained held in the Bergen County Jail on Saturday.
