Three people were airlifted with life-threatening injuries in a wild crash at an old-school New Jersey ice cream shop this weekend, police said. A 65-year-old Mays Landing resident was behind the wheel of a Honda Pilot heading south in the right lane of Route 73, just before noon on Saturday, June 8, winslow police said. The car was approaching the West Fleming Pike intersection when the driver veered into the shoulder then off the roadway. Palmyra's Beth Ann Timmons Fought Courageous Battle With Cancer, 48
Beth Ann Timmons, of Palmyra, died peacefully surrounded by her family on March 12 after a courageous battle with cancer, according to an obituary published by Weber Funeral Home. She was 48 years old. Beth was a lifelong area resident, growing up in Cinnaminson and was a graduate of Cinnaminson High School, her obituary said. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Church in Riverton. Beth was very artistic and went on to attend The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Man, 53, Struck, Killed By Freight Train In North Jersey
A married Haworth father of four was struck and killed by a freight train in Harrington Park late Sunday. Responders said the victim apparently walked the two miles or so to the spot 100 yards or so yards south of the LaRoche Avenue crossing, where he was struck shortly after 4 p.m. The media executive, who'd worked with major television and Internet companies, was pronounced dead at the scene soon after. A 57-year-old man was found dead from a gunshot wound in his Colonia home on Monday after an hours-long standoff with police, authorities said. The man's identity has not been released by authorities, pending notification of his family. About 7:30 a.m., police from the Woodbridge and Rahway police departments responded to a home on Dukes Road.
