The search for a missing person ended tragically when their body was found near a New Jersey mountain, authorities said. The person, whose name is being withheld, was last seen on Friday, Aug. 18, according to Hopewell Township and Pennington Borough police. A 29-year-old man was found unharmed six days after walking away from his Central Jersey home. Jonathan Misak walked nearly seven miles — or more to Old Bridge — where he was found safe on Saturday, Oct. 1, authorities in Middlesex County announced. A 22-year-old man who went missing Thursday, June 16 was found dead on Friday, authorities in Mercer County said. There are no signs of foul play and no danger to the community, though the investigation remains ongoing, West Windsor police said. His identity was not released and he was described as Asian. Homeless Man Threatens To Kill People With Shotgun In South Jersey: Police
A homeless man threatening to shoot people dead was arrested by police in South Jersey. On Sunday, June 5 at 1:13 p.m. Berlin Township Police received a 9-1-1 call that a man armed with a weapon was walking on Cooper Road toward Route 73. The caller stated "he had a shotgun in his backpack and was going to kill people," police said. The man was identified as Lewis O. Tilton III, who was homeless, police said. DAY 2: Search Continues For Missing Couple Last Seen On ATV Trails
A search is underway for a couple last seen on ATV trails in a wooded section of Stafford known as the Pine Barrens. The missing married couple was identified as Gary and Lorraine Parker of Warren Grove. They are 67- and 60-years-old, respectively. US Marshals Nab Fugitive Wanted For Stealing PA Pickup, Striking Police Officer In South Jersey
With help from U.S. Marshals and the New York State Police, police in South Jersey have arrested a man for allegedly assaulting a police officer in a stolen pickup truck, authorities said. The Ford F-150 pickup was reported stolen out of Bristol, Pennsylvania late last month and a suspect was arrested on Thursday, Evesham Township police said.
