Atlantic City Trio Arrested On Drug, Weapons Charges: Police Three men were arrested after Atlantic City detectives observed them engaged in a drug deal, authorities said. On Thursday Aug. 17, at 3:48 p.m., Detectives Eric Evans and Christopher Dodson were conducting surveillance in the area of the 1600 block of Atlantic Avenues.  They saw two men, Daryus Gandy and Bashon Simon Sr., working together to sell drugs, police said. The detectives approached the men as they began to engage in a transaction with John Adams. Gandy was found in possession of a loaded handgun, 82 bags of heroin, and prescription pills, police said. PA Boy, 10, Shot, Killed During Thanksgiving Target Practice, DA Says A 10-year-old Berks County boy was shot and killed during target practice on Thanksgiving Day, authorities said. Responders carried the boy out of the woods to an ambulance after he was shot near his home about 100 feet off Chestnut Street in Hereford Township around 1:30 p.m., they said. He was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest near Allentown, where he was pronounced dead.
