A convicted felon admitted to selling heroin mixed with fentanyl and methamphetamine throughout Atlantic County, authorities said. Matthew Lynch, 33, of Galloway Township, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, Apr. 23 to second-degree possession with the intent to distribute heroin/fentanyl. Seven people were injured when a New Jersey Transit bus crashed in an Atlantic County shopping mall parking lot, authorities said. Egg Harbor Township police responded to the crash in the parking lot of Harbor Square on Black Horse Pike at around 9:59 p.m. on Thursday, Apr. 11, the department said in a news release. A retired Stockton University rowing head coach is battling cancer and looking for a heart transplant, according to a fundraising campaign. More than 50 people were arrested after police broke up a large cockfighting ring in Atlantic County, authorities said. Galloway Township police executed a search warrant at a home on the 300 block of South Bremen Avenue on Saturday, Mar. 9, the department said in a news release. Police in an Atlantic County township have released pictures of suspects wanted for adding skimming devices to ATMs in a gas station's convenience store. Galloway police said two men entered the Wawa on West White Horse Pike in the Pomona section of the township at around 7:39 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27. A Galloway Township man was arrested after he broke into someone's home and fought the person living there, authorities said. Joseph Aversa, 41, was charged with second-degree robbery, second-degree burglary, and fourth-degree criminal mischief, Absecon police said in a news release. A Wildwood Crest man was arrested after more than two dozen dogs and cats were found living in poor conditions in Atlantic County, authorities said. A man who ran a heroin-selling network from the Atlantic County Jail was sentenced, authorities said. Emery Chapman, 44, of Pleasantville, was sentenced to 21 years in state prison, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office announced on Friday, Feb. 2.
