: Tactical Units, Hackensack Police Respond To Another Bogus Call From Same Number
Yet another in a series of bogus "emergency" calls brought a SWAT team and other responders to a Hackensack home while forcing yet another high school lockdown early Tuesday afternoon. The May 3 "swatter" used the same bogus local phone number that was connected to a series of threats to Hackensack High School in March, city Police Capt. Darrin DeWitt said. Students, staff and particularly parents and law enforcers had grown irritated by the recent string of calls, including one in which a threat was made to shoot up the school. This time, members of a Bergen County Regional SWAT Tea…

NJ's University Hospital Workers Fired Over Bogus Vaccination Cards
Several University Hospital employees have been fired over bogus COVID-19 vaccination cards, news reports say. The fake vaccination cards were an apparent effort to overcome the hospital's mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy announced in June. It was not clear exactly how many employees were terminated. The news comes days after a 31-year-old Jasmine Clifford -- who calls herself “Anti-Va…

: Oath Keeper Becomes First To Plead Guilty, Sentence Depends On Cooperation
One hundred days after the riot at the U.S. Capitol, a lifetime member of the Oath Keepers who plays in a metal band admitted Friday that he breached the building in a tactical vest and armed with bear repellent. Rather than face trial, Jon Schaffer, 53, of Columbus, Indiana, took a deal from the government, pleading guilty unlawfully entering the Capitol to obstruct Congress’ certification of the U.S. presidential election results. The conviction could get the Iced Earth guitarist sent to federal prison for up to four years -- or more -- depending on how much he helps prosecuto…

Instagram Celeb Held In NJ Jail For Kidnapping, Terrorizing Online Foe
An Instagram influencer and two associates kidnapped a man in Bergen County, then stripped him naked and held a machete to his neck while threatening to kill him if he didn’t remove negative social media posts, authorities charged. Jebara J. Igbara, 25, told the victim that a video of the kidnapping would be released to social media if he didn’t do what he was told, they said. Earlier this week, federal authorities in Brooklyn charged Ibarra with scamming four of his nearly 1 million followers out of Bitcoin virtual currency by sending them worthless wire transfers in exchange for more than…
