NJ Dairy Queen Operator Violated Child Labor, Wage Regulations: Feds A New Jersey Dairy Queen franchise owner is facing a blizzard of fines. The U.S. Department of Labor has determined Kostantine Menegatos, who operated four DQs in the Garden State, violated federal child labor and wage regulations, forcing him to pay $14,000 in penalties and more than $9,000 in back wages. Menegatos failed to pay one employee minimum wage and did not pay 14 workers time and a half overtime premium for working more than 40 hours in a work week, the DOL said.  The franchise owner also employed 15-year-olds more than three hours on school days, more than 18 hours a week …

Maha Khurs, 29, fought with -- and spit -- on police who charged her with several offenses, Lt. James DePreta said Wednesday. Daily Scoop: Historic PA Dairy Queen Sign Stolen, Another DQ Closes "Happy Tastes Good," used to be a popular slogan at Dairy Queen. Not this week, Grinch. "I scream, we scream, we all scream for ice cream?" Not this month, Frosty. Police in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, report that a historic "DQ" sign, destined for a Dairy Queen franchise in the Buckeye State of Ohio, was stolen from the Doylestown parking lot over the Thanksgiving break.  So, it's a no-go Bucks.  After 28 years of serving Blizzards, twists and tasty celebratory ice cream cakes, Dairy Queen at 318 Main St. in Doylestown officially closed on Sunday, Nov. 22.  But that didn't deter Turkey…
