The bodies of two construction workers were reportedly recovered from the site of the Francis Scot Key Bridge collapse in Baltimore Wednesday, March 27, according to state police and multiple reports. The bodies of Alejandro Hernandez Fuentes, 35, and Dorlian Ronial Castillo Cabrera, 26, were recovered from a red pickup truck about 25 feet under water in the Patapsco River, near the middle span of the bridge around 10 a.m., Maryland State Police said at a briefing on Wednesday. Two of the six construction workers killed in the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse have been identified. Brawner Builders employees Miguel Luna, 49, and Maynor Yassir Suazo, 38, Sandovol were making repairs to concrete on the bridge when a Singaporean ship, the Dali, lost power and struck a beam, causing the collapse and sending them into the Patapsco River below around 1:30 a.m., according to multiple news reports and loved ones. Dump Truck Crashes Into Overpass In South Jersey: State Police
A dump truck with its bed accidentally raised crashed into a highway overpass in Gloucester County, authorities said. The crash occurred at 3:12 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2 on Route 55 southbound at milepost 44.6 in Elk Township, New Jersey State Police said. Preliminary investigation revealed that a Mack dump truck was operating within a construction zone and failed to lower its bed after offloading materials, State Police said. Two workers were killed after becoming trapped under rubble at JFK International Airport on Monday, April 3, authorities tell Daily Voice. The workers became trapped around 11:10 a.m., while relocating utility lines at an energy plant near the airport for its redevelopment project, a spokesperson for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said. UPDATE: Philadelphia Worker ID'd As Victim Killed In Sea Isle City Balcony Collapse A 43-year-old construction worker from Philadelphia has been identified as the victim crushed to death by a balcony that collapsed at a Sea Isle City high-rise Friday, Feb. 24, authorities said. The victim's body was pinned under the 30-foot concrete slab for several hours before responders could cut through approximately 12 inches of reinforced concrete, police said. A construction worker’s life literally hung in the balance after he fell through an upper-floor opening at a Paterson construction site and was impaled by a length of rebar. A 57-year-old man killed last week in a construction accident at a Hindu temple in South Jersey had been accused of human trafficking, police said. The unidentified man was found unresponsive when police arrived at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir temple on North Main Street in Robbinsville around 3:45 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, authorities said. Electrician Falls To His Death At NJ Construction Site
An electrician fell 40 feet to his death at a Lodi construction site. The 43-year-old outside contractor from Guttenberg was in cardiac arrest while being transported to Hackensack University Medical Center with a head injury following the 11:40 a.m. mishap Friday, Sept. 9, on Industrial Road. Fellow workers had done their best to tend to him before responders arrived, Lodi Police Sgt. Dominic Miller said. He was pronounced dead at the hospital, Miller said. The Bergen County Sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Identification responded to collect evidence and OSHA was notified, he said.

Construction Worker Struck By Backhoe In Midland Park
A construction worker was hospitalized after being struck Wednesday afternoon by a backhoe in Midland Park. The Kemsco Construction and Equipment Company (Newark) worker was injured shortly before 4:30 p.m. behind the Midland Park Shopping Center on Godwin Avenue. Members of the Midland Park Ambulance Corps tended to the worker and took him to the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. There was no immediate word on the extent of the injury. OSHA was notified.
