Prosecutor: South Jersey Mother Created Fake GoFundMe Accounts For 'Dead' Son, 'Premature' Baby A 33-year-old woman from South Jersey created a fictitious GoFundMe campaign to raise "funeral money" for her 4-year-old son, "who she claimed died of cancer," authorities said. She also created multiple online fundraising accounts for other fake causes, they said, seeking more than $11,000 total.
