Rose Zampino Killed In Burlington Crash An 83-year-old woman was killed in a two-car crash in Burlington Township, authorities said Rose Zampino, of Burlington Township, was driving a Mitsubishi sedan north on Route 541 near Kelly Drive at about 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, when a southbound Volvo SUV struck her vehicle, Burlington Township police said. Mother, Son Killed In Burlington Apartment Fire: Police A mother and her son were killed in a fire at an apartment complex in Burlington Township, authorities said. Police saw heavy smoke coming from an apartment at Northgate Village Apartments when they were called at 3 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 24, said Lt. Arthur Gittens, a Burlington Township police spokesman. Firefighters arrived and pulled a man and a woman from the apartment as they worked to extinguish the fire.  Emergency workers attempted to revive the pair with CPR, but Sandra Stevenson, 62, and Eric Stevenson, 28, were pronounced dead at the scene, the spokesman said.
