What could be one of the most active hurricane seasons ever now has its first named storm. Tropical Storm Alberto formed late Wednesday morning, June 19 as it moved across the western Gulf of Mexico. Fast-moving Tropical Storm Nicole is barreling toward the Northeast after making landfall overnight south of Vero Beach, Florida as a Category 1 hurricane.
