Bogus Call Of Gunman Holding Victims Leads Police To Pair Of Fugitives At Secaucus Hotel
What turned out to be a bogus call of a man barricaded in a Secaucus hotel led police to two Passaic County repeat offenders who were both wanted on warrants, authorities said. Officers who responded to the Extended Stay America on Meadowland Parkway didn’t find a man with a gun who was not allowing others in a hotel room to leave, as the caller had claimed, Police Chief Dennis Miller said. Police Bust Massive Drug Operation In North Jersey Hotel Room Netting 6 Arrests, Heroin, Coke
Two women in the process of dumping cocaine into a hotel room sink drain were interrupted by police who found MDMA, heroin, suboxone and other drug paraphernalia, Secaucus police said. Police were conducting a "park and walk" in the Harmon Meadow area of Secaucus when someone notified them of possible nefarious activity inside one of the rooms on Feb. 16, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said. Weekend Haul: Franklin Lakes Police Continue Picking Off Route 208 Drivers, Most For Warrants
A series of weekend traffic stops on Route 208 yielded Franklin Lakes police a half-dozen arrests – most of them of people wanted on warrants. They also included a 32-year-old West Nyack man charged with DWI just after 11:30 p.m. Sunday. Officer Matthew Geyer made that arrest, as well as one just before 7:30 a.m. Saturday of a 29-year-old Clifton man on marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession charges. Moments after that one, Sgt.
