A fast-acting NJ Transit officer revived a lifeless baby born in Newark Penn Station. He rushed her to the hospital in the passenger's seat of a police car Tuesday morning and didn't stop CPR until he got to the hospital, where she began to cry. Every second was captured by body cameras worn by the officers. Five Injured In Newark Police Pursuit Crash
A Newark police pursuit ended in a multi-vehicle crash that injured a carjacker, two police officers and two civilian before dawn Monday, responders said. All five were taken to University Medical Center after the chase ended in a chain-reaction collision at Hawthorne and Chadwick avenues shortly after 2:30 a.m., they said. The Essex County Prosecutor's Office, which was investigating the crash, said none of the injuries appeared life-threatening. Thomas Bliss, 14, Of Kenilworth, Avid Denver Broncos Fan
Thomas Robert Bliss of Kenilworth died at University Medical Center in Newark Tuesday. He was 14 years old. Born in Perth Amboy, he lived with his family in Roselle Park before they moved to Kenilworth in 2012. He attended David Brearly Middle School in Kenilworth and was a student at Magnet High School in Scotch Plains. He loved playing video games and was a fan of the Denver Broncos football team.
