Three Pedestrians Including 6-Year-Old Struck In 24 Hours In Paramus, PD Expands Safety Efforts A recent uptick in vehicle-related accidents across Paramus has prompted the local police department to expand its Traffic Safety Unit.  In the past 24 hours alone, three separate incidents involving pedestrians have been reported, Paramus Police Chief Robert Guidetti said Saturday, Nov. 16. The first occurred on Friday, Nov. 15, at 3:46 p.m., when a 6-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle on Ridgewood Avenue near The Cupola, the chief said.
