Pedestrian Struck Outside Maywood School, Driver Cited: Police
A 22-year-old woman was hospitalized with minor injuries after being struck outside of a Maywood school Tuesday, Oct. 15, police said. The crash happened outside the Maywood Avenue School just before 2 p.m., Sgt. William Phayre said. The woman was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center and the driver was issued a summons for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, police said.

Overturned Vehicle Takes Out 2 Lanes Of Route 3
An overturned vehicle blocked two lanes of Route 3 in Bergen County on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 15. The NJDOT site shows the crash happened in the eastbound lanes around 1:30 p.m., west of Route 17 in Rutherford. Police said no injuries were reported. Moderate delays were being reported.

Six vehicles crashed on the New Jersey Turnpike in Bordentown Township, causing traffic backups for several miles, officials said. Troopers responded to the crash at 11:26 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, a state police spokesperson said. It happened on the northbound outer highway north of Exit 7 near milepost 54.4. Investigators said the crash involved two tractor-trailers, a transit bus, a flatbed truck, a box truck, and a transit van. Popular Newark Man Killed By Hit-Run Driver: Prosecutor
Police have made an arrest in a hit-and-run crash that killed a popular Newark man. Ahmed Bouda, 29 has been charged after authorities said he struck and killed Corey Claybrook around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 14 on the 600 block of Springfield Avenue then fled the scene, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II and Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Frage said. Claybrook died approximately one hour later. A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Bergen County on Friday night, Oct 11 — the county's second fatal hit-and-run involving a pedestrian in 24 hours. 3-Vehicle Crash With School Bus Sends Jeep Driver To Hospital In Bergen County
One person was hospitalized in a three-vehicle crash with a school bus carrying people with special needs on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 9 in Bergen County, Daily Voice has learned. The school bus was carrying a group of both children and adults with special needs when it collided with a Jeep and one other vehicle on Hackensack Street at North Avenue in Wood-Ridge, sources said. The bus was evacuated and no injuries were reported. The Jeep driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police ID Scooter Rider, 18, Killed In Paterson Crash
Authorities have identified the 18-year-old man killed riding a scooter in Paterson Wednesday night, Oct. 2. Angelvl Javier-Reynos was riding with another 18-year-old city resident when they were struck by a Jeep Grand Cherokee just before 8 p.m. at 9th and Madison avenues, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Isa Abbassi said. Three Dump Trucks Crash On Route 80, Firefighters Say
A crash involving three dump trucks shut a portion of Route 80 Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 2. Hackensack firefighters were called to the scene in the westbound lanes where they found the three trucks and one passenger vehicle near Exit 64 around 1:50 p.m., they said. There were no injuries reported, however, a large fluid spill from the dump trucks required a DOT truck to respond and apply sand to the leaking fluid. Crash Shuts All Lanes Of Route 80 In Paterson
A crash closed all lanes of Route 80 in Paterson Sunday night, Sept. 29. Three vehicles were heading east when they were involved in a chain-reaction crash, each one rear-ending the next as traffic began to slow down at milepost 58.4 around 8:10 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan said. No injuries were reported and the highway has since reopened.

Teen Driver Cited For Reckless Driving In Route 17 Rollover Crash, Police Say
A teenage driver was cited for reckless driving in a rollover crash on Route 17 that sent both occupants to the hospital Thursday night, Sept. 19, authorities said.
