The teen was heading south in a Toyota 4Runner on Route 9 in Rhinebeck when he struck Jonathan A. Kiech, 49, of Fords, who was heading north, around 6:30 a.m., Dutchess County Sheriff's Office Capt. Man Pushing Shopping Cart On NJ Turnpike Struck, Killed By Multiple Vehicles A man was pushing a shopping cart on the New Jersey Turnpike Thursday morning when he was struck and killed by multiple vehicles, authorities said. Troopers were called around 4:35 a.m. to the turnpike's southbound side at milepost 105.8 in Newark, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Alejandro Goez said. The unidentified man was walking down the NSI road with a shopping cart when he was struck by a Lincoln Towncar, then by a Honda Civic and a Toyota 4Runner, Goez said. Sedan, SUV Collide In New Milford Two drivers escaped serious injury in a crash Friday afternoon in New Milford. Bystanders got the female driver out of a Toyota Camry after it was knocked onto the driver's side by a Toyota 4Runner at the corner of Henley Avenue and River Road shortly before 2 p.m. Both she and the SUV driver didn't appear seriously injured, they said.
