ICE Looks To Deport Salvadoran National Charged With Sexually Assaulting Englewood Children
Federal immigration officials plan to take custody of a 31-year-old cashier who was charged this week with sexually assaulting two Englewood children between 7 and 9 years old, Daily Voice has learned. ICE placed a detainer on Salvadoran national William Hernandez almost immediately after he was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 25, with an eye toward deporting him. The detainer will hold Hernandez in the Bergen County Jail – without exceptions -- until he can be brought before a federal judge at an immigration status hearing in Newark.
