Ramsey PD: Rockland Man Who Dumped Coffee On Ex-Wife Flees Up Route 17, Caught By NY Troopers
A Rockland driver who sped off from police on northbound Route 17 in Ramsey following an incident with his ex-wife was captured by New York state troopers 40 or so miles up the road, authorities said. Mahwah police picked up the pursuit at the state line split before han…

A reasoned hunch paid off when Maywood police who staked out Bergen Town Center captured four members of a tri-state retail theft ring moments after they’d swiped thousands of dollars worth of perfume from an Ulta store in Ramsey. The crew was believed responsible for a spree at Ulta stores in New Jersey, New Jersey and Connecticut -- including at the Wayne Town Center -- over the past several weeks, authorities said. The quartet had just struck at the Interstate Shopping Center off Route 17 on Thursday when Maywood Detective Sgt. William Phayre headed to the Ulta store at Bergen Town Cente…

The Ramsey community is rallying to support a local dad undergoing treatment for lymphoma. Glen Farraye, a father of three, was diagnosed with lymphoma in December 2019. In January, the family’s worries only grew as they discovered the cancer had become more aggressive than originally diagnosed. Now, Glen’s treatment plan includes a number of long-term hospital stays for chemotherapy. Nearly $25,000 had been raised for Glen and his family on a GoFundMe as of Tuesday afternoon. “The news truly shocked us to the core,” the campaign says. Moms Bringing Support Group To North Jersey Have Important Message For Other Grieving Parents
All Marla Kallin and Irene Stuart needed to hear while mourning the loss of their sons was that it would be okay to move on. It's the same message the moms will be sending to other grieving parents with the New Jersey launch of the national support group Helping Parents Heal, which meets the fourth Tuesday of every month in Fair Lawn's Mad Science building. The moms had both been to other support groups but often found themselves feeling worse. It wasn't until they found Helping Parents Heal -- and each other -- that they finally found some relief. "The whole philosophy is different t…
