Large Police Presence, 1 Arrest Closes Carlstadt Intersection
A large police presence was reported at a Carlstadt intersection with one person in custody Tuesday night, Nov. 5, authorities said. Carlstadt police released few details, saying only that that one person was arrested at 6th and Broad streets around 6:30 p.m. "If you are planning to travel in the area, we kindly suggest considering an alternate route," police said. Former New York Knick Amar'e Stoudemire has been charged with battery after allegedly punching his teen daughter in the jaw at his Miami condo, the Miami Herald reports. New Jersey's attorney general released surveillance video Friday of an incident involving a 41-year-old Atlantic County Jail inmate who later died after being taken to a local hospital. Hamilton Township police responding to a trespassing call arrested Mario Terruso, of Mays Landing, shortly after 1 p.m. Sept. 15, 2019, Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal said. Police Nab 4 After Stolen Car Crashes At Route 4, 17 In Paramus
Police took four suspects into custody following a stolen car chase that ended in a crash at the Route 17 exit to Route 4 in Paramus before dawn Monday. Upper Saddle River police began chasing the vehicle stolen in their town around 2:45 a.m., then pulled back on Route 17, Detective Lt. Edward Kane said. S. Plainfield Cancels Labor Day Parade, Explosive Devices Found Near Route
Officials in South Plainfield Monday have cancelled a Labor Day parade and other activities over what officials described only as a "security concern." Officials did not immediately provide any information about the nature of the threat. A large police presence was seen Monday in Spring Lake Park and the parade route was closed off, according to a published report. UPDATE: An autopsy found that a Paterson man died from a medical episode while in police custody that was triggered by bath salts that he'd ingested earlier combined with a previous condition, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M.
