The woman was on the Morristown platform with the injury when responders arrived at the scene, just before 7:25 p.m., a spokesperson for NJ Transit said. The woman was taken to the hospital by EMS. A bull wandering onto the tracks in Newark caused trains to be delayed up to 45 minutes between Newark Penn Station and Penn Station New York, NJ Transit said.  Rail tickets and passes are being crossed honored by PATH, Hoboken, Newark Penn and 33rd Street New York, NJ Transit said. It is unknown how the bull got onto the train tracks.

NJ Transit Train Strikes Car On Jersey Shore A New Jersey Transit train struck a car on the Jersey Shore, authorities said. At 7:32 a.m., North Jersey Coast Line train 3224 crashed into the car at the Bethany Road crossing in Hazlet. The car's motorist was not hurt.  No injuries were reported to the approximately 150 customers or the crew on board at the time. The train departed Long Branch at 7:10 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive at Penn Station New York at 8:41 a.m. Customers from train 3224 were being transferred to a following train.  New Jersey Transit Police are on scene leading the investigation.

Some NJ Transit Trains To NYC Will Be Diverted To Hoboken This Summer NJ Transit Thursday announced changes to rush-hour service on the Montclair-Boonton, North Jersey Coast and Morris and Essex lines in order to accommodate repair work on two rail lines used by Amtrak at Penn Station New York. Some trains will also bypass Broad Street Station in Newark during peak periods.  The changes begin June 17 and end Friday, Sept. 6. The work will be carried out on weekdays.
