Massive Hotel Proposed To Replace Shuttered Jersey Shore Amusement Park: Reports
A developer is planning to bring a new purpose to a shuttered and iconic amusement park on the Ocean City boardwalk, according to reports. Wonderland Pier owner Eustace Mita said he wants to create a 252-room hotel on the site of the theme park that closed in October, abc6 Action News reported. Mita is also the developer and CEO of ICONA Resorts. The $135 to $155 million proposal would preserve Wonderland's famous Ferris wheel and carousel. Tops Diner In E. Newark To Close For Expansion: Report
Tops Diner, an East Newark staple for generations, is slated to close for up to six weeks for an expansion that will triple the size of the eatery, News 12 New Jersey reported. Plans were filed with Hudson County a few months ago but a spokeswoman for the Passaic Avenue restaurant declined to say when construction would actually begin when reached by Daily Voice at the time. Video footage of a car that drove on top of another in Paramus has gone viral. "Parking in New Jersey is a dead a** sport," said Max Zavian, who posted a video of Tuesday's incident at Bergen Town Center to Twitter. Zavian said he heard the noise and turned around to see a Mercedes on top of a Toyota sedan. The video garnered more than 97,000 views as of Wednesday afternoon. Chris Feinthel commented on the video saying he used to play a game with a friend, sending photos of "ridiculous" parking jobs from around New Jersey. "Game is officially over," he said.

A Franklin Avenue senior housing complex in Northvale has 29 units for veterans with special needs and only two handicapped parking spots.
