A driver failed to negotiate a Route 17 exit ramp, landing an SUV on its side. No injuries were reported in the rollover on the northbound highway's Midland Avenue exit ramp headed west in Paramus around 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20. The Range Rover was significantly damaged and had to be righted and removed by Nutchie's Towing Service. SUV Clips Pole And Rolls In Washington Township
An SUV clipped a utility pole and landed on its side in Washington Township, sending the driver to the hospital. The Toyota Highlander took down a sign, damaged an Optimum box and lost a wheel in the crash on East Glen Avenue just west of the Garden State Parkway shortly after 9:30 a.m. Friday, May 6. Fumes Overcome Four At Bergen Community College
Four workers at Bergen Community College were hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after being overcome by fumes from an apparent cleaning product, responders said. Work apparently was being done when a mixture was poured that created the fumes in the kitchen area of the Pitkin Education Building off Paramus Road around 4 p.m. No students were affected, responders said. UPDATE: Authorities turned to the public for help finding the rider of a crashed, burning motorcycle that was found in the left lane of the southbound Garden State Parkway in Paramus early Monday night. The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. near mile marker 162.4, New Jersey State Police Sgt. First Class Lawrence Peele said Tuesday. Officers responding to the call found the motorcycle in flames, skid marks on the roadway and no rider. Paramus Crash Sends Driver To Hospital
A driver was hospitalized following a chain-reaction late-morning crash Monday in Paramus. The driver's BMW slammed into a minivan in front of the Brookdale Paramus Senior Living community on Paramus Road between Johnson and White Pine courts. The occupants of a car that overturned Monday afternoon on westbound Route 4 in Paramus got themselves out, responders said. The Volkswagen rolled in front of 35 Plaza shopping center, which includes a Houlihan's, Starbucks and Roadrunner Sports, among other businesses. Paramus police, firefighters and EMS responded. Passenger Freed In Emerson Crash
A passenger was hospitalized after being extricated by Paramus firefighters following a Thursday morning crash in Emerson. Members of the Paramus Rescue Squad freed the woman after the crash around 9:30 a.m. on Soldier Hill Road at Forest Avenue at the border of both towns. The driver refused medical attention.
