Ricardo The NJ Transit Bull On The Mend After Battling Deadly Infection
Ricardo, the bull that captured the Garden State's attention after it wandered onto the train tracks last month, is recovering after battling a deadly infection, his caretakers said. Skylands Animal Sanctuary in Wantage said on Facebook they discovered Ricardo had road rash on his leg when they rescued him after his trip on the tracks. Multiple NJ Transit Lines Suspended Due To Signal Issues At NY Penn Station
An Amtrak signal issue at New York Penn Station has suspended NJ Transit service on Friday, Jan. 12, officials said. All rail service on the Northeast Corridor, Raritan Valley Line and North Jersey Coast Line is suspended due to Amtrak signal issues, Kyalo Mulumba, a senior public information officer for NJ Transit said. Delays were reported on NJ Transit's Raritan Valley Line Sunday morning, March 26 due to a pedestrian having been fatally struck. The RVL train 5515, which left Newark Penn Station just before 9:40 a.m., struck the pedestrian around 9:50 a.m. on Galloping Hill Road near the Roselle Park station, NJT officials said. A person was struck and killed by an NJ Transit train in Union County, officials said. The male pedestrian was struck by Raritan Valley Line train 5413 near the Grant Avenue bridge in Plainfield around 8:55 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, NJT spokesman Jim Smith said.
