: Arrest Made In Teaneck Stabbing
A judge in Hackensack denied the release of a career criminal accused of stabbing another man in Teaneck. Jacob Gibbs, 26, is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and illegal weapons possession in the stabbing at the recently opened One500 luxury apartment complex on Teaneck Road shortly before 4 p.m. Nov. 1. Gibbs, who is 6-foot-2 and has dreadlocks, was quickly identified, authorities said. “Detectives following up leads” captured him at a Bogota home the next day, Deputy Police Chief Andrew R. Administrator, Managers Out At Bergen Courthouse, No Reasons Given
Mystery surrounds the departure of several administrators from the Superior Court in Bergen County. Trial Court Administrator Laura Simoldoni took a leave of absence in anticipation of retirement next year, multiple sources said. Civil Division Manager Kathleen Stylianou, Assistant Civil Division Manager Vincenza Bruno and a second assistant whose name wasn't immediately available also left their positions on Oct. 11, the sources said. 88,000 Pot Cases Dismissed In NJ This Month, 270,000 More In The Pipeline
New Jersey courts have dismissed or vacated 88,000 pot convictions since July 1, with plenty more to come, the state Judiciary announced. State authorities are still working out how the Garden State’s legal marijuana market will work.
