Three men were recently arrested and charged after a narcotics investigation in Secaucus resulted in the recovery of over 150 grams of cocaine and approximately 20 grams of MDMA, authorities said. Nelson Villegas-Rios, a 33-year-old Lyndhurst resident and Sebastian Ospina Osorio, a 34-year-old New York resident were arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 7 and charged with distributing cocaine and ecstasy, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. A 31-hour SWAT standoff in Newark ended Friday afternoon when police returned fire on the 42-year-old suspect, police announced. Detectives from the Essex County Narcotics Task Force were executing a warrant at a Clinton Place home around 6 a.m. Thursday when someone in the house fired shots at officers, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Prosecutor: Englewood Traffic Stop Reveals Fentanyl; Driver Charged
A narcotics investigation launched by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s office led to the arrest of a 49-year-old man who was busted with five kilograms of Fentanyl and nearly $6,000 in alleged drug money. Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the arrest of Bronx resident Louis Vasquez, who is facing multiple charges following the investigation, which was led by Chief Robert Anzilotti.
