Hospital ERs in Bergen, Montclair Closed By Nationwide Ransomware Attack
The latest in a continuing series of nationwide ransomware attacks closed two hospital emergency rooms in New Jersey. Authorities haven't disclosed what's been demanded by the cybercriminals who forced ambulances to divert to other hospitals from Pascack Valey Medical Center in Westwood and Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair beginning on Thanksgiving evening. 'Rutgers Royalty': Basketball Legend Phil Sellers Dies At 69
Phil "The Thrill" Sellers, who rewrote the Rutgers Scarlet Knight record book and led the school to its only Final Four appearance, died on Wednesday, Sept. 20 at the age of 69, the school announced. Sellers is the all-time leader in points scored and rebounds at the school and captained the famous Final Four team that went undefeated in the regular season and was ranked fourth in the country. Beloved Glen Ridge Police Officer Dies Of Coronavirus
The Glen Ridge Police Department is mourning the loss of beloved officer Charles "Rob" Roberts who died of coronavirus. Roberts was resuscitated by his colleagues April 21 after going into cardiac arrest. He was rushed to Mountainside Medical Center, where he remained in critical condition. A GoFundMe campaign for Roberts' wife, Alice Baker-Roberts, and their three children had garnered $1,200 as of Monday evening.
