Gerald 'Jerry' McMinn, Owner Of NJ Ice Cream Institution, Longtime EMT Dies At 93 Gerald "Jerry" McMinn, a man credited for saving countless lives over more than 65 years volunteering as an EMT, and bringing joy to thousands of North Jersey residents through his iconic Milk Barn, has died at 93 years old. New Bergen County Sheriff's Recruits, Inter-Governmental Transfers Sworn, Heroes Honored Seven new recruits, one investigator and five inter-governmental transfers were sworn in Friday to the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office. Three of them are military service veterans. Thomas Podschelne -- whose 60th birthday is this July 23 -- had briefly gone missing before but not for more than a half-day.
