DJ From Paterson Among Five Charged With Armed Carjacking In Edgewater Target Lot
A deejay from Paterson was one of five carjackers who robbed a victim at gunpoint in the Target parking lot along the Hudson River in Edgewater earlier this year, authorities charged. Giancarlo Rodriguez -- known as "Jaycee973" -- and the others "approached the victim and forcibly removed him from his vehicle" shortly after 3:30 a.m. April 13, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. 'Good Catch On Busy Holiday': JFK Traveler Nabbed With Loaded Gun
A “good catch on a busy holiday” produced the July 4th arrest of a Florida man who tried boarding a flight at Kennedy Airport with a loaded gun, authorities said. TSA officers detected the compact 9mm Smith & Wesson weapon in the man’s carry-on bag as he entered a security checkpoint at JFK, the Transportation Security Administration’s Lisa Farbstein said. A New Jersey mom who’d gone missing after she and her 2-year-old son were abducted by the child’s father was found dead in Tennessee, authorities confirmed Sunday. The family of 24-year-old Yasmine Uyar of Rahway first disclosed the news late Saturday. Young Sebastian Rios had been found unharmed at a family member's home in Monterey, Tennessee, late Friday. A heart-stopping video posted by a Middlesex County police department shows an officer running out of his car to rescue a driver from a burning vehicle in a Thanksgiving Day crash. The 3-minute and 40-second dashcam tape shows Monroe Township officer Douglas Perrone jumping out of his vehicle to Pergola Avenue near Namsan Drive around 8:40 p.m., and running straight to the fully-engulfed Ford Fusion -- the driver trapped inside.
