Bryce Harper Drops By NJ Supermarket
Heads were swinging at a local supermarket where Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper also happened to do his shopping. Haddon Township police officer Eric Aparicio found himself in the unlikely position of bumping into the professional baseball player outside of a Sprouts Farmers Market this week. Aparicio seized the opportunity and snapped a selfie with the two-time National League MVP. The photo went viral on the Haddon Township Police Department Facebook page. Harper has a little more time on his hands to head to the market these days after the injury-plagued outfiel…

: Derek Jeter Drops Price Of Greenwood Lake Mansion
New York Yankee legend is hoping to hit a home run in the real estate market. The former slugger's Greenwood Lake home is back on the market for a cool $12.75 million. The Orange County, NY property -- dubbed "Tiedemann Castle" and located on the water that straddles New York and New Jersey -- was first purchased by the Hall of Fame shortstop 15 years ago. Jeter, an All-Star shortstop and team captain who spent his entire playing career with the Yankees, is now the chief executive officer of the Miami Marlins -- and doesn't spend too much time up north anymore. It had been on the market …

Subway Series Opener Postponed After Mets Player, Staffer Tested Positive For COVID
The first game of this weekend's Subway Series was postponed, along with the New York Mets' game Thursday night in Miami against the Marlins, after at least two people in the Mets organization tested positive for the coronavirus, Major League Baseball announced. The Mets were trying Thursday night for a four-game sweep against the Marlins before returning home Friday to face the Yankees in a three-game series at CitiField. They now will focus on "additional coronavirus testing and contact tracing," MLB said in postponing the games. Two members of the organization who tested positive were a…

Retired former New York Mets players Octavio Dotel and Luis Castillo were among several people arrested or named by authorities Tuesday in one of the biggest international drug-trafficking rings in their native Dominican Republic’s history. Dotel, 45, who at one time also pitched for the Yankees, was arrested and second baseman Castillo, 43, identified as a member of the cocaine and opioid empire of César “The Abuser” Peralta, who remained a fugitive, Dominican Attorney General Jean Alain Rodríguez said Tuesday. The case was the “largest operation against organized crime ever conducted in t…

Captain's Castle: Derek Jeter Lists Greenwood Lake Estate For $14.75M
Yankees legend Derek Jeter is "all in" with his new position in baseball. As owner of the Miami Marlins, the former all-star shortstop has little time to be in the New York area these days. So the former Yankees' captain has put his lakefront Hudson Valley estate on the market, listed at $14,750,000. The six-bedroom, 12-bathroom gem is located in the Orange County village of Greenwood Lake, near the NY/NJ Appalachian Trail border, and a very manageable 40 miles from Yankee Stadium. But wait, there's more. It's anchored by a stunning castle and nestled on four acres of property,…
