: Laughing Homeless Man Derails NYC Subway In West Village, Authorities Say
A Manhattan subway train derailed Sunday morning after a laughing homeless man tossed construction materials onto the tracks, authorities said. Three of the 30 or so passengers on board sustained injuries in the 8:17 a.m. derailment, which left the uptown A train stuck about 100 feet into the tunnel at 14th Street and Eighth Avenue in the West Village, they said. MTA Agrees To $500,000 Coronavirus Death Benefit
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Transport Workers Union Local 100 and the Transport Workers Union of America announced an agreement Tuesday establishing a COVID-19 death benefit for TWU members who died after being infected.
