Snow Drought: Here Are Next Chances For White Stuff In Northeast Pockets of light snow fell in parts of the region to start off the weekend on Saturday morning, Jan. 14. Winter Weather Advisory: Here's When 'Multi-Hazard' Major System Will Arrive, Wrap Up A major storm the National Weather Service is calling a "multi-hazard" is closing in on this region and the entire Northeast. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from Saturday at 4 p.m. until 10 a.m. Sunday for North Jersey and surrounding areas. Mixed precipitation is expected (see second image above) with a total accumulation of 2 to 4 inches of snowfall for most of the area.
