DEP To Jenkinson's: Open Your Beaches
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has ordered Jenkinson’s Boardwalk to reopen the public access points to its beaches in Point Pleasant Beach. The DEP on Tuesday, Sept. 19 sent a letter to the Ocean Avenue company saying it's not allowed to block the public from entering dry sand areas or keep them from using the areas "for intermittent recreational purposes connected with the ocean and wet sand." These Jersey Shore Towns Cancelled July 4th Fireworks Shows
Several Jersey Shore towns have already cancelled Fourth of July fireworks shows. Officials in Bradley Beach were the latest to do so, postponing the July 3 show to a later date. Asbury Park officials were among the first to announce a cancellation, citing lack of social distancing enforcement. : Black Clifton, Paterson Girls Chased From Jersey Shore Shop
Video shows a Jersey Shore shopkeeper telling a group of young black girls from Clifton and Paterson that they weren’t welcome in the store, leaving their parents -- and the innocent children themselves -- all wondering what happens now.
