NJ Hospital Unveils New Glass Lobby As Part Of $150 Million Renovation Project
Newark Beth Israel Medical Center's main lobby has gotten a facelift. The hospital is planning a $150 million facelift that includes a new recently completed 17,000 square-foot glass enclosed main lobby with modern seating areas, community meeting spaces and cafés. Secaucus Officers Revive Elderly Man
A Secaucus man is alive and well thanks to the quick thinking of three city policemen, officials say. Lt. Christopher Rinaldi was called to the corner of Seaview Drive and New County Road just before 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, for a reported medical emergency. There, he found an elderly man laying unresponsive on the ground and not breathing, the department said. Just as Rinaldi began performing CPR, officers Mikhail Kowlessar and Kasey Kelly arrived on the scene, officials wrote. Deadly Levels Of CO Overcome Dumont Couple
Two Dumont residents who were overcome by carbon monoxide gas were rescued by responders. Both were taken to Englewood Hospital and Medical Center after police, firefighters and EMS members responded to the Niagara Street home shortly before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. The male resident was revived by CPR and brought to the hospital's Intensive Care Unit, responders said. The female resident was transferred to the Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, they said.
