Driver Hospitalized In Route 17 Rollover A 21-year-old driver from Maywood was hospitalized with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening following a rollover crash Wednesday morning on rain-slicked Route 17 in Waldwick. His Honda Civic was headed north on the highway when it hit a pothole, hydroplaned into the center median and overturned near Grove Street around 9 a.m., Waldwick Police Lt. Thomas Dowling said. Joseph Crilley, 29, of Newton, was charged on Tuesday with drug possession and vehicular manslaughter, Sussex County First Assistant Prosecutor Gregory Mueller said in an article by the Daily Record. Woman, 79, Hit By Car In Mountainside Dies Woman, 79, Hit By Car In Mountainside Dies
Woman, 79, Hit By Car In Mountainside Dies A 79-year-old woman from Mountainside was killed Thursday night when she was struck by a car, police said.  The woman, who was not immediately identified, was crossing at Summit Road and Wyoming Drive shortly after 7 p.m. when she was hit by a Honda Civic. She was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver, a 27-year-old woman from Lebanon, stopped and remained at the intersection.  Summit Road was closed for four hours for the initial investigation. The investigation was still ongoing as of Friday morning.
