Three men who surrendered to authorities in Manhattan to face charges stemming from the theft of handwritten notes and lyrics to the classic rock and roll album “Hotel California" include the CEO of a Bergen County-based auction house. Eric Clapton's stage-played and studio used "Slowhand" guitar is being auctioned off out of a Bergen County rock-themed shop. Bidding for the 1954 Fender Stratocaster along with its original case starts at $1 million, according to the Franklin Lakes-based Gotta Have Rock and Roll website. The crystal-studded socks that Michael Jackson wore the first time he ever performed the moonwalk on stage are heading to the auction block in Franklin Lakes. The Gotta Have Rock and Roll auction shop set bidding for the socks at $100,000 beginning Nov. 13.
