The planes will land at the airport on Thursday and will do a flyover of the stadium just before 3 p.m. kickoff.

The F-18s will be flying 2,500 feet over the river toward the bridge at 11 a.m., the NYC Officer of Emergency Management said. The reason for the flyover was not announced, and was no cause for alarm, officials said.

Several North Jersey residents were startled by three F-18s making a Teterboro landing in May.
