Elmwood Park Police Officer Mike Sammarone had a puncher's chance when he agreed to fill in at a boxing match with no experience. And he made the most of it. Sammarone had all of three weeks to prepare for the Brothers Before Others law enforcement charity event in Phillipsburg. Beloved Glen Ridge Police Officer Dies Of Coronavirus
The Glen Ridge Police Department is mourning the loss of beloved officer Charles "Rob" Roberts who died of coronavirus. Roberts was resuscitated by his colleagues April 21 after going into cardiac arrest. He was rushed to Mountainside Medical Center, where he remained in critical condition. A GoFundMe campaign for Roberts' wife, Alice Baker-Roberts, and their three children had garnered $1,200 as of Monday evening. A Port Authority police officer’s daughter who was given a 10% chance to live after she wasn’t supposed to even survive childbirth has gotten lots of love from law enforcement as she enters a series of difficult and delicate surgeries.
