Two Franklin Lakes police cars were struck during a pre-dawn pursuit of two stolen vehicles into Paramus, authorities said. No officers were injured in the incident, which began with multiple calls from residents about a suspicious vehicle and sketchy people outside a Chestnut Place home shortly before 5 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, Franklin Lakes Police Capt. A Woodcliff Lake police officer was responding to an overnight home burglary when a fleeing luxury SUV stolen by two teenagers sped straight toward him, authorities said. Police Helicopter Helps Nab Thieves In Stolen Bergen County Car: Newark Authorities
A Newark police helicopter helped track a pair of car thieves in an SUV stolen out of Bergen County, authorities said. The copter spotted a gray Alfa Romeo SUV stolen out of Closter speeding near 16th Avenue and South 13th Street around 9:30 p.m. Friday, city police said in a release.
