A 17-year-old Newton High School student was returning from the Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange the day after prom when the rental car she was riding in overturned, killing her and injuring two other teens. Alexis Faye of Newton was honored with white ribbons tied around town Monday, two days after the fatal accident. White ribbons for her favorite color were tied on mailboxes, trees and lamp posts over the weekend in Newton honoring Alexis "Lexi" Faye. The 17-year-old Newton High School student was killed in a rollover accident Saturday in Fredon, a day after her school's prom. Two other teens including the driver were seriously injured in the crash and flown via helicopter to Morristown Medical Center. Dozens had signed up to contribute to a meal train for the family. Alexis Faye, 17, was pronounced dead at the scene after the Mercedes Benz she was riding in veered off the road and overturned Saturday around 5:40 p.m. in Fredon, New Jersey State Police Sgt. A female was pronounced dead at the scene of the Springdale Greendell Road (Route 611) incident around 5:40 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt.
