Recall Of 11.7M Pounds Of Meat, Poultry: List Released Of NJ Schools That Received Products
A preliminary list has been released of schools that received items that were part of a nationwide recall of millions of pounds of meat and poultry products over fears they may be contaminated with Listeria.
The initial recall involving the manufacturer, Bruce Pac, was for 9,986,245 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) products sold at Walmart, Target, Amazon, Trader Joe's, 7-Eleven, Aldi, and other stores. It was announced on Wednesday, Oct. 9.

Bergen County Acme Sells $50K Powerball Winner
Three Powerball tickets winning $50,000 from a drawing earlier this month were sold in New Jersey.
The numbers from the Wednesday, Oct. 2 drawing are 01, 02 21 37, and 43. The Powerball drawn was 21.
The tickets were sold at the following locations:
7-Eleven, Fort Dix St., Wrightstown (Burlington)
Acme, Lake Street, Midland Park (Bergen)
7-Eleven, Lakeside Boulevard, Landing (Morris)
The next Powerball drawing will be held Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 10:59 p.m.
Powerball Player Wins $1M At 7-Eleven, Two Others Take Home $50K
One New Jersey Powerball ticket matched five of the five white balls drawn for Saturday, Dec. 16, winning $1 million, state Lottery officials said.
The winning ticket was sold at 7-Eleven #16164, 403 US Highway 9, Lanoka Harbor in Ocean County.
In addition, two tickets matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball drawn winning the $50,000 third-tier prize.
Those tickets were sold at the following locations:
Ocean County: Shoprite #641, Route 70 and Chambersbridge Rd., Brick; and
Passaic County: Super Exito Supermarket, 218 Dayton Ave., Clifton.

Two Bergen County Lotto Players Win Big
Two Bergen County lottery players bucked the odds, winning big bucks in Mega Millions and Powerball, respectively.
A Mega Millions lottery ticket sold in Lodi matched four numbers, plus the gold Mega number netting $10,000. The winning ticket was sold at Nick's Deli on Westminster Place. The winning numbers were 5, 6, 29, 32, 61 and the yellow ball was 20.
A Powerball ticket sold in Bogota matched four numbers, plus the Power Ball, netting $50,000. The winning ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven on Palisade Avenue. The winning numbers were 6, 15, 24, 67, 68 and the Power Ball was 11.
Powerball Tickets Good For $50K Sold In Bergen, Passaic Counties
A pair of Powerball tickets each winning $50,000 were sold in Bergen and Passaic counties.
The winning numbers from the Saturday, Sept. 23 drawing were: 01, 12, 20, 33, and 66. The Red Power Ball number was 21. The Power Play was 2X.
The tickets were sold at the following locations:
Bergen County: 7-Eleven #36488, 584 Kinderkamack Rd., River Edge
Passaic County: Estevez Food, 341 East 19th St., Paterson.
A third ticket good for $100,000 was sold in Camden County.
The Powerball jackpot rolls to $785 million for the next drawing to be held Monday, Sept. 25, at 10:59 p.m.
Lotto Tickets Sold In Bergen, Hudson Win $10K
While no one won the big $1 billion Mega Millions jackpot on Tuesday, August 1, not everyone left emptyhanded.
Two tickets sold in Bergen County and one ticket sold in Hudson County matched four of the white balls and the Gold Mega Ball, netting the lucky winners $10,000.
The tickets were sold at U&B Mini Market in Garfield, a 7-Eleven in Teaneck and TE-AMO in Secaucus.
The winning numbers for the Tuesday, August 1, drawing were: 08, 24, 30, 45, and 61. The Gold Mega Ball was 12, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 04.
