Come Play Softball, Fund Bergenfield Scholarships

BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- The BHS Community Service Program, along with the Bergenfield Recreation Department and Bergenfield PBA, will be hosting a softball tournament on May 28-30 -- and teams are needed.

The event is fundraiser for scholarships, to be awarded to BHS students who demonstrate a commitment to community service. "This is an excellent opportunity for BHS students to partner with staff members, friends and family members to form a team and compete in this fun and worthwhile event," organizers note.

The cost per team is $250. Organizers suggest that participants ask local merchants, public organizations and family members to join or help sponsor a team.
